How to receieve the grant
Visit eapply.ajax.ca to submit your ADU building permit application on or after July 2, 2025 after preparing the required documents.
You will be notified of your program eligibility after submitting your application.
Proceed with the permitting process in consultation with Town staff.
You will receive your grant after the permit is issued, construction is complete, inspections have passed, and the permit is closed.
Grants are first-come, first-serve, while funds last!
The Build More, Get More Grant Program is made possible by the Housing Accelerator Fund, awarded to the Town of Ajax by the Government of Canada. Learn more about the Fund below.
*Potential applicants under the Build More, Get More Grant Program have until no later than March 1, 2027, to qualify and receive payment under this program, unless otherwise amended or terminated by the Town of Ajax.
*The Town of Ajax reserves the right to withhold grant disbursement if the Additional Dwelling Unit(s) do not meet the required qualifications, or for any other reason, as determined at the sole discretion of the Town of Ajax.

In 2023, The Town of Ajax successfully applied for the Housing Accelerator Fund, a landmark investment by the federal government and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation which is designed to reward municipalities committed to solving Canada’s housing crisis.
Ajax’s application, one of hundreds from across the country, was competitive enough to bring $22,000,000 to the Town to be invested directly into initiatives that will help bring new housing units online.
Through initiatives such as the Town of Ajax’s Build More, Get More program, the Housing Accelerator Fund aims to support lasting changes that will improve housing supply for years to come.
